Jerry Leger has released over a dozen acclaimed albums since 2005, including 2019’s ‘Time Out For Tomorrow’, his 3rd for Cowboy Junkies label, Latent Recordings, produced by Michael Timmins. The record received acclaim in Rolling Stone, Uncut Magazine and from fellow songwriters such as Doug Paisley and Ron Sexsmith. Leger’s music has also been praised in Toronto Star, Globe & Mail, PopMatters, NOW and heard on CBC, BBC, WSM and NPR.
Besides headlining shows across Canada, Europe, UK and the US, Jerry has opened for acts such as Jim Cuddy, The Sadies, Justin Townes Earle, Jill Barber, Dawes, Jesse Winchester, Trampled By Turtles, Ron Sexsmith, Doug Paisley, and twice performed on the Nashville concert series “Music City Roots” with host, Jim Lauderdale. He was the only Canadian act in the small festival “Take Root 2018” in Holland alongside Neko Case, Kurt Vile, Father John Misty and others.
Leger has recorded duets with Serena Ryder (“All Over Again”) and more recently with Don Stevenson of the legendary 1960s San Francisco group, Moby Grape on 2020’s “Halfway ‘Til Gone”. That single made a new Jerry Leger fan out of Tommy Stinson (The Replacements, Bash & Pop). 2020 also saw the release of the surprise isolation album ‘Songs From The Apartment’ and Leger’s first book of poetry, ‘Just The Night Birds’.
