He plays musica l oddities of his own invention like the Contrabass Harmoniphoneum\; a kin d of a bass-harmonica-horn contraption that looks as old as it sounds. \nW ight also draws from a comprehensive collection of old time songs that he has carefully curated in his travels across the North American continent. \n \n \nBIO\nAfter studying Jazz at Humber College in 1998\, young Lotus W ight joined an itinerant dance band\, playing bass for square dances\, kit chen parties and old time jams from all over the US and Canada. This was a highly formative time for Wight\, as he learned fiddle\, banjo\, jaw harp s\, ham-bone\, and other folk arts in the very places of their birth. Afte r 8 years of steady travel and study he formed Sheesham and Lotus with fid dler/singer Teilhard Frost. Together they made six albums and toured the w orld.
